Everybody wants to look beautiful and we all can. A few simple tips will help you change your looks and your lives – but remember you can be nothing without confidence – and yes, it is all about inner beauty at the end of the day!

For smoother skin: To cleanse and exfoliate your skin, massage handfuls of Epsom Salt over your wet skin, starting with feet and continuing up towards the face. Then, pour two cups of Epsom Salt into a bath of warm water. Sit back and relax. The natural action will soften your skin while easing the kinks and stiffness in your muscles.

Homemade Mask: (For normal to oily skin)

mix 1 tablespoon of cognac, 1 egg, 1/4 cup of nonfat dry milk, the juice of 1 lemon, and a half-teaspoon of Epsom Salt.

(For normal to dry skin)

mix 1/4 cup of grated carrot, 1 1/2 teaspoons of mayonnaise and a half-teaspoon of Epsom Salt.
Apply the mask in the shower, to your damp face, to lock in the moisture.

20 things we wish we knew when we were teenagers

1. Skip the foundation If you have acne the first thing you want to do is slather on the thick foundation. Don't. Foundation is for women over 35. Not only will it cover up your natural beauty, but foundation on a teenager looks anything but natural. Instead, cover up blemishes with concealer, then follow with a powder or tinted mosturizer. Tinted moisturizers tend to be lighter than heavy foundations.
2. You pat concealer in, you never rub it in We know this from watching the Tyra Banks show. When applying concealer, put a bit on the pad of your middle finger and pat it in. Never rub. Got acne? Pat the concealer on top of it

3. play your lips or yuor eyes, never both If you are wearing heavy eye makeup, go for nude lips with just a bit of gloss. Keep face light (stay away from heavy blush) and wear only mascara on your eyes and a light eyeshadow. Don't heavily line your eyes. Play up both and you'll look like a clown. And never, ever line lips in a darker color than your gloss or lipstick.

4. Less is more Ever notice how some of your friends look best with no makeup at all? No matter your age, too much makeup makes you look worse. If you wear foundation, powder, blush, liner, mascara, eyeshadow, lip liner and gloss on an everyday basis, then you're overdoing it. Tone it down: All you really need is a great mascara, concealer for blemishes and gloss. Add a pop of blush in winter.

5. Natural hair is always hot If you have super dark hair, lighten your look by going a shade darker or getting lighter highlights. Blonde? Try highlights, especially framing the face. We see too many teens lightening their hair several shades and the look can be super-tacky, not super-fabulous. The trick is to let people assume you were born with sun-kissed hair, not that you gave yourself a bad dye job from a bottle.

6. Vaseline is your best friend Vaseline is a great, cheap eye makeup remover. It's also great for fixing chapped, scaly lips. Slather on a bunch of Vaseline, then use a toothbrush to massage lips. Wipe the excess off on a tissue. Your lips will be smooth and soft.

7.You can never go wrong with layers Long layers are great for any hair type: Super curly, straight or wavy. It makes thin hair appear thicker, curly hair appear manageable and wavy hair appear just-got-back-from-the-beach sexy. Just make sure you don't get too many layers cut in. Too many short layers is dated.

8. Acne? Get thee to a dermatologist, stat Biggest mistake people with acne make? Not going to a dermatologist. Forget those $150 jeans you covet. Getting rid of those pimples will be the best investment you'll ever make. And the only guaranteed way to do it is with a dermatologist.

9. Spend money on key beauty products Not sure what to splurge on and what to save on? See if you should splurge or save on cleansers, mascara, concealer and more.

10. Buying foundation or lipstick? Test it first There are some beauty products you simply must try out at a department store or Sephora before you buy. These include: Foundation, lipstick, blush and powder. Buy these products in a grocery store and you'll be lucky if you picked the right color for your skin tone. What you can get away with without testing: Mascara, eye liner, most basic eye shadows and lip gloss.

11. When can you skip sunscreen ? Never Here's a trick we wish we knew: The first beauty product you should apply every day is sunscreen, even if it's cloudy or rainy outside. Why? Good habits start young and if you use sunscreen now, you'll have gorgeous skin when you're 50, 60, 70. Remember, the sun's UV rays can penetrate clouds and car windows.

12. Wrapping hair around the barrel creates waves There's nothing cooler than long, layered waves. To get them, wind hair AROUND the barrel of a large curling iron. Reverse direction for each 2-inch section (wind up for one, down for another).

13. Self-tanner will always stink Unfortunately, even the best ones smell. Your best bet is to apply self-tanner a good 24 hours before an important event and take a shower (don't loofah) to wash off any smell. For really big events like a dance or wedding, consider a professional spray tan. These are pricey and don't last long, so make sure to do it a day before the big event.

14. Don't let nails go Not into manicures and pedicures? No worries. Just make sure to keep nails clean and the same length. If you do want to paint them, don't keep the polish on until half of it's chipped away. Also, there's nothing worse than too-long toenails. Keep nails clipped between pedicures! People tend to judge others by the care they put into their hands and feet.

. 15. Don't line the inside of your eyes It will make your eyes appear smaller. Instead, line just at the lash line. Also, an obvious line doesn't look natural. Smudge the line just a bit.

16. Oily hair? Invest in a dry shampoo If you have blonde hair, sprinkling a bit of baby powder on your roots and at your crown will soak up excess oils. If you have brown hair, you might be better off with a dry shampoo for your hair color.
17. Shave legs at the end of the shower Cut down on nicks and cuts by making shaving the very last step in your shower or bathing ritual.

18. Know your best feature and play it up What feature do people comment on most? Play it up. If you're told you have Angelina Jolie lips, make sure to wear gloss and play with bold lipstick colors. If it's your eye color people love, find eyeshadow colors that complement them and make sure to wear mascara. Also, know what color shirts look best on you and go shopping.

19. Scrubs are great for dry skin If you have dry, itchy skin in winter, invest in a scrub and handmitts and scrub away in the bathtub. Make sure to slather on a thick moisturizer afterward. For dry, callousy feet, buy a pumice stone. They work better than any of the other wimpy options on the market.

20. Remember: Beauty is mostly internal Think about a girl you know who's overweight yet all the guys love her. Why? Because she's confident. If you aren't wearing makeup and your toes haven't been repainted in weeks, if you're happy and smiling you will still be 10 times prettier than the mopey cheerleader sitting next to you in class.

Make-up that looks just fine in the sunshine can look faded and washed out under artificial lighting. Use warmer and deeper colors for the evenings.

If your face is too full, use a little blusher on the high part of the cheek, closer to the nose. Blend lightly across the too full area.

If your face is too slender, create an illusion of width. Place your blusher on thecurve of the cheek, slightly away from the nose. Blend well, out and above to the temples.
If your face is square and heavy along the jaw line, soften the angles of the jawline by shadowing. Pat on blusher, then blend down across the square part.

A soft blending of rouge under the jaw line or chin takes away a heavy drooping effect .Your jaw line can look more clear-cut with this trickfor the evening.

To accentuate the cheek bones for evening makeup, use a liquid foundationa shade lighter than usual. Apply it in little dabs on the top of the cheek bones and on to the corners of the nose. Blend well.

To focus extra attention on eyes and mouth, circle the outer edge of the face very lightly with blusher .Blend with feathery strokes.

Powder blushers give you color without shine--- oily skins should avoid cream blushers.
Does your face look terribly oily halfway through the day? Your complexion can look and stay natural and soft all day if you try this trick:Take a blusher brush, clean it with cool water and allow to dry. Then sprinklesome baby powder into the open bristles. Dust this powder over your face before applying your foundation.

If your complexion is too sallow ,don’t be tempted by a clear beige or very pink foundation. Avoid yellow or green colors in make –up, these two colors bring out the sallow color of your skin. Go in for warm beige foundation and clear blue eyeshadows. Lipsticks are best in medium tones.

If your complexion is too pale, don’t use a pink foundation. Choose a clear natural foundation for a natural look. Avoid very dark eyeshadows and lipsticks. They would make you look too intense and tired. Go in for dull rust or brown eyeshades. Use a soft blusher on cheeks, chin and forehead.

Never try to match eye shadow color to your eye color and lip color to nail color ---------- result will be too dated.

If you wear false eyelashes, make them look natural by brushing both the false and real lashes with a little mascara after putting them on.

To achieve a subtler look, instead of using eyeliner draw the thinnest possible line at the roots of the eyelashes with a soft dark brown eyeshadow.

In winter use pearly-gray and shell-beige eyeshadows. Avoid highlighters during the daytime, as they would look too harsh.

If your lips are too thin and straight, apply your lipstick from slightly above the line of the upper lip and slightly below the line of the lower lip. Curve the linesslightly with a lip pencil. Make your lips look fuller by using a darker and richer shade of lipstick in the center and a lighter one in the corners.

Follow these tips and get on the journey to a new you…

Useful Make Tips

Makeup is to facial skin what colors are to canvas. If applied correctly it not only enhances the looks but also brings out a near perfect persona from the simplest of faces. Makeup hides blemishes and imperfections. Yet at the same time it is important to note makeup is not the alternative to good skin. Good skin should be the primary goal. And to maintain it applying makeup in right contours should be the secondary goal.

A clean, well moisturized skin is the prelude to makeup. Make up starts from application of foundation. Right foundation makes the skin look natural and flawless. Wrong foundation gives the appearance of superficial artificiality. So to have that perfectly natural, flawless look they need to wear foundations with a yellow base. Most of the foundations available in market have pink or orange tints. Sacha cosmetics, that was official makeup for Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants, is the first cosmetic company to manufacture yellow tint foundation and it is a good product to start with. To get the correct foundation tone, it must be first tested on jaw line or forehead.

It is imperative to moisten a gauze pad or wash cloth in astringent and gently pat it on already made up face so as to get a dewy finish. The astringent removes the matte look. Excess foundation must be wiped clean with a tissue. Foundation can be set immediately by applying translucent powder. Try to avoid cream foundation in summers as they have high content of oil and may slip in extreme heat. Sometimes tinted moisturizers can be used in place of foundation. Many people are not clear when is the time to replace your existing foundation with a new one. The answer is when your foundation begins to curdle then it must be replaced with a new one. Loose power is ideal for setting make up and compact powder for touching up during day and night. Face powder must be matched with the skin tone. It must be evenly applied on sidelines, jaws and sides of nose to get the perfect finish. Excess powder must be dabbed with help of a tissue paper. For best results try the face power by Maybelline and L'Oreal. A face powder with SPF 15 is the best bet to ensure all day protection from sunlight during day.

Right concealer can hide all types of blemishes like under eye circles and acne. Liquid concealer is ideal for dry skin and larger areas like under eye circles while solid concealer can hide small spots. While buying a concealer, choose the one that matches your skin tone or is a shade lighter. It must be applied over foundation and as sparingly as possible. While concealing dark circles, yellow eye shadow can be mixed. This will color correct the dark circle and give a natural skin tone. A little concealer must be applied under the eyes to avoid dark looking eyes.

Blush is used to give the appearance of a flush and healthy looking skin. The color of the blush can be matched with the natural color of lips. Cream based blushers are in vogue for oily to combination skin while creams based are ideal for dry skin. While applying blush, a full size brush, like MAC's blush brush No.116 can be used. While applying blush always smile as this helps you in figuring the apple of the cheeks. Blush should be applied only on apple of cheeks. Excess blush can be wiped off with translucent powder. Best brands in blushes are Max Factor, Nars and Revlon.

Eyes make up ; Eyes are the main attraction points and eye make up can make the difference between naturally done or artificially done face. In eye makeup, less is more. If you are in hurry, then apply base color that matches your skin tone and top it with mascara. Apply eyeliner as close as possible. For a dramatic look thicker and darker is the bets bet. For eyebrow use a color that matches with the color of brow. Avoid the drama, just color the brow instead and fill in the gaps after combing the brow. If your brow are too then bleaching them up could open up the face. The best brands for eye make up are Urban Decay, LORAC and Sue Devitt.

Lip colors are used to enhance the lips and give the appearance of fuller lips. If you are lucky to have fuller lips than light and frothy colors will work the best. Before application of lip color, lips must be moistened. It is important to that lipstick can act as a blusher but blusher cannot act as a lipstick .To avoid lipstick on your teeths always put index finger in your mouth after application. This will wipe excess lipstick. To get the appearance of plump lips just apply lip linear outside your lips. Many a times lip liner can be applied after the use of lipstick. When wearing a red lipstick use a brown pigment to line and fill lips first as this will make the lipstick last longer. Apply lip gloss over lipstick or alone. Women with fuller lips need not use lip gloss. The best lip color brands are by Revlon, Body Shop, Cover Girl and L'Oreal.

Real beauty is skin deep and this must be always remembered. Make up is no magic band that can transform plain looking Jane into Cinderella. It is only a tool to enhance the natural looks. Healthy looking skin is transformed by makeup but make up is not a substitute for healthy skin. Similarly it must also be noted that makeup products are composed of chemicals. Too much exposure to make up is also not good for the health of skin. Before sleeping, all traces of makeup must be wiped clean to allow skin to breathe naturally. So be ready to say hello to beautiful you.
